intro post for plurk and the like
This is Soap. I'm currently 36. I'm a queer, white, cis woman (maybe idk), my pronouns are she/her. My birthday is on May 30th and I'm a Gemini, an Earth Snake, and an INFJ. I live with ADHD, severe social anxiety, and depression. All have been diagnosed since before I turned ten, and I've been taking meds for most since (not ADHD currently), and see a psychotherapist regularly. The extent of these mental illnesses (and agoraphobia?) have legally qualified me for disability.
I worked as a pharmacy technician for four years but the company was bought out and my store closed. I was unemployed for five years after that, getting assistance from the Department of Rehabilitative Services and Goodwill. I went to school and graduated a course for Medical Coding. More recently I worked part-time in the office for a home health agency. Since 2020 and the pandemic, I've been mostly homebound and not working.
I love cats and dogs and most animals in general. I have a cat myself, named Magrat, after Magrat Garlick, one of the witches from Terry Pratchett's Discworld book series. She also goes by Maggie, Mags, Maggie-moo, and Magbrat.

The crap I talk about currently, fan-wise: Arcane, Mystic Messenger, Nancy Drew, Monstrous Series (books by Lily Mayne), Necessary Evils (books by Onley James), Ace Attorney, Life is Strange (games & comics), Pokemon (mostly games), Star Trek (all series Original through Strange New Worlds, most heavily on the DS9 and SNW), The Wild Robot, Animal Crossing, Supernatural (S1-5 mostly, and sometimes Wincest as an off-shoot of that, but always inside the plurks and I try to keep things well-labeled for warnings!!), Kingdom Hearts (still haven't played 3!!), Frozen, Disney in general?? Probably a ton of other things I'm forgetting too.
